MARANTZ PM-94 Integrated Amplifier
When the Marantz PM-94 was introduced to the American market
in 1988, it became the flagship amplifier in the product line,
and for good reason.
The amplifier's stunning gold finish with
rich rosewood veneer side panels was the first thing everyone
noticed--and that was by design. This amplifier
was designed to make a visual statement, in the revered
Marantz tradition. The amplifier was also offered in
black with natural oak side panels. The PM-94 Digital
version, as can be seen on the other pages of this website,
was finished in black with simulated rosewood side panels.

Marantz designed this amplifier to go
head to head with the other high-end integrated amplifiers
marketed by such companies as Conrad Johnson, Mark Levenson,
Accuphase, Counterpoint and others. In terms of industrial design,
the PM-94 instantly became a timeless classic.

The back of the PM-94 featured gold plated jacks that
were widely spaced to permit use of audiophile grade interconnect
cables, and large speaker binding posts. This amp also featured
pre-out, main-in jacks with gold plated interconnects that permitted the
use of a separate pre-amp or amplifier if so desired.
